CHUCK FOSS

PRESIDENT

Chuck Foss has never been one to back down from a challenge.

He helped build CORE from the ground up in a highly competitive market where there are few differentiators between firms.

“Our brand is built on the vision of an elevated client experience and the all encompassing services we provide,” says Foss.

Since financial firms do not control the market, they have to find alternative ways to set themselves apart.

With CORE, Foss saw an opportunity to make a transactional business relational while delivering an unforgettable client experience.

The difference is in the details.

“Excellence is only achieved by executing thousands of details perfectly,” he says. “Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.”

This attention to detail is reflected in the firm’s holistic approach to financial administration, its culture, meticulous office design, client service and everything in between.

Foss carries this same drive and attention to detail over into his personal life.

In 2015, he and his wife—whom he met in ninth grade—took a 100-year-old house in Lakeland down to the studs and rebuilt it almost entirely from scratch.

“We were ready for a change,” says Foss. “My wife loved watching ‘Fixer Upper,’ so one day I said, ‘Let’s quit talking about it and do it.’”

Armed with a vision and a few torn out magazine pages, he and his wife spent over a year working closely with a contractor on the details to make their dream house a reality. And they couldn’t be happier with the result.

“In business and in life,” he says, “at the end of the day, details matter and you simply have to show up, do the work and stay committed.”
